I went to the Good Guys car show in Pleasanton today as I always try to. I saw 2 GN's while I was there. One an 87 looked all stock, scanmaster on dash and no info slip on car. The other was an 85 maybe (Vector style wheels, only seen from afar as we were leaving). Just curious.
I took my 72 Monte Carlo and entered it in the show and shine. It was extremely packed. It was great to see so many cars. A few that stuck out were;
a modded AMX, all black with 17" Torque Thrust's, dual 4 bbl's (sounded very healthy!
a custom 1940 Packard roadster
A clean sleeper of and 84 (?) El Camino running LS1 power. It looked all original except for some modern wheels, was even a two tone brown color, most likely original. Suspension was beefed also.
one exhibition building with Rat Rods being the theme.
One of the Rats Rods in particular was awesome. It was running an old Chevy straight six with all the hot aftermarket speed equipment on it. It had incredible detail and excellent workmanship. It was in bare metal and in running project status but looked to be on it's way to being finished and cleaned up very well.
It was also nice to see all the first gen (70-72) Monte Carlo's out. There were at least 6 or 8.
Can't wait for the next show!

The 2 seater AMX's are AWESOME! I have been looking on e-bay and they seem to go for a reasonable buck. I seen one at a Buick event with a turbo 6, bright yellow, beautiful car.
