hey guys i am installing a gn1 front mount intercooler , it is the 3.5 inch wide one i am trying to figure what i can run for a fan as the dual fan set up that i am running will not let the pipes from the intercooler clear the fans

and info or ideas greatly appreciated JOHN by the way my current fan set up is those dual fans from the olds was it ?? the one everyone was using and caspers made a harness connector for

I got my fans from TRcustom parts. They are awesome and clear the stock intercooler.

We have a few versions of fans coming out. A slim line and an extreme setup.

What dual fan setup are you running now? Oops, reread your post and you are running some kind of stock duals from an Olds? Post some pics. Assuming you are running the Super Extreme Intercooler? The dual Spal fan setup we sell will work fine with what you have.

i run the gn1 extreme front mount and there radiator with dual fans. i then modded the fans with a lil larger fans from seperate company. never goes above 170-180 in hot North FL.

what size fans did you end up going with ?? where they spal fans ?just curious as i see the fan set up is over 400 would hate to have to change fans on top of that thanks JOHN

i bought the setup before they offered the spal or i got the ones on sale i cant remember. then i found a site that sells only fans and was able to wedge two of them in with about 1/2"from pipe going to ncooler
they are 12" Hurricane fans a lil pricey but.....

Sorry to bring this thread back but was wondering the out come. I am having the same issue the turbo intake pipe will not clear? Any ideas anyone? I have the FMIC GN1 extreme and running the alradco extreme fan kit but that pipe just wont clear it hits the fans if not then will hit the cross bar????

I am running both the super extreme and their aluminum radiator with no clearance issues with my fan. I will post some pics tommorrow

Super Extreme fm with Alradco hybrid fan set up. Used the smaller pancake style fan on the right side to just clear the ic pipe. Fits perfect.

Here is my problem the hump on the back of the fan pushes the intercooler pipe to far forward

Exact same problem with the Alradco extreme fan kit and the gn1 extreme ic. Pete sent me the smaller pancake style fan to clear that pipe. So I have an extreme fan on the left and the smaller fan on the right.

it looks like the pipe can come in a lot more towards the turbo? If you were to use a short extension on the bottom of the pipe wouldn't that do it? Why is the pipe so far away? We can also do the one thin fan, a few guys have gone that route for simplicity.

go w pete an alradco and never look back. the best money I've spent. Pete you're doing and extreme slim??? same cfms as you're extreme kit? I'm very interested… :)
