Pirelli P7000 Supersport (Im looking at 245/50 16's all the way around on GTA wheels).
So far Ive heard nothing but good things about them, and they are one of the best looking tires Ive ever seen. Just wondering if anyone has any experiences with them on a TR. How do they hook?

I prefer relatively skinny tires that SPIN (e.g. 235/60R15 BFG Radial T/As):

They fit...

Great, smokey, ear piercing, "I'm 16 again, look at me" burnouts...

Lousy cornering ability - who cares - everybody knows TRs are quarter-milers, and not F bodies...

Cheap as hell...

Mega treadwear index - last forever (excepting those great, smokey burnouts)...

Very driveline friendly - your tranny and rear end love for your tires to spin...

:)

go to TIRERACK.COM to look up practically any tire out there. then you can check out the reviews on those tires from actual owners. only thing is those reviews are from owners of mostly foreign cars, but you should still get a good idea on the basic characteristics of the tire. this is what helped me to decide on my michelin pilot sport a/s, they got the best reviews out of all the "ultra high performance all season" tires.

not on a TR but on a mustang. They are great tires. Grip good, handle good, look good, and are awesome in the rain. Like aquatread only not total POS's when its dry. You will like them, and I think that tirerack.com probably has the best prices on them.

Thanks for the replys guys!
Got alot of info from Discount Tire Direct (tire.com, I think). Jumped back and forth from that site and tirerack. The Discount Tire site seemed a little more user friendly, and had info on Nittos. Tirerack does have better prices though and will be where I order from, unless I get Nittos (tirerack doesnt sell them).
Im torn between going with DRs in the back (i.e. Nitto DRs w/ 450extremes in the front, or BFG DRs w/ gforce TA KDWS's or radial TA's in front) or going with radial tires all around. Being able to leave with more boost is a big issue, but I dont know if I feel like changing tires frequently because the DRs wear down fast.
As far as radials all around Ive pretty much narrowed it down to the Pirellis, Nitto450s, and BFGs(TA KDWSs probably; I could allways just go with the all time favorite radial TAs, but I would like a little extra performance if I can). I looked at the Michelins and the Dunlop SP8000s, but didnt think they were any better than the choices above, but definately more pricey. Pirellis and Nittos are probably #1 and #2 in that order right now (if I dont go with DRs). Pirellis are only $109 at tirerack and Nittos are $99 at discount tire. Twice as many reviews for the Pirellis with the two sites and nothing but good comments. One person did say something about the price , I guess the name Pirelli just sounds expensive (price looked good to me). The Nittos had good reviews (from discount tire site) but did have 1 or 2 bad reviews that mentioned a lot of performance issues (in relation to having them on a performance vehicle).
