-----Next week at school we are going to START installing the ATR 3" dp(internal wg).. I have LOOKED on "OTHER" sites, But the information was "WEAK"!!!!!! So I going to ASK the PROS.

-----QUESTIONS----
1.DOES a gasket install BETWEEN the DP and the TURBO housing?----if SO...where to get? If NOT...WHAT is used to SEAL mating surfaces????
..... CLEARANCE PROBLEMS???
2.NO aftermarket headers are on the GN---STOCK(what ever came from the FACTORY)....Will there be a clearance issue with the Stock Exhaust?

3. Body mount are in GOOD shape (no unevenness on 4 corners)--fenders lines/gaps correct--body bushings look good...(what I can see)........Motor mounts...I THINK are O.K...not MUCH movement under SHARP rap-of-the Throttle.
....REMOVAL of STOCK DP????
4. Remove ELBOW????? What to WATCH-OUT for?.......DownPipe???? OR REMOVE-- BOTH TOGETHER?

....INSTALLING DOWNPIPE...
5.What is BEST way to get DP "SNAKED" into motor compartment???? WHAT ISSUES---/WORSET/BEST......EASIEST..... Top....Bottom or ????. WHAT OTHER part(s) needs to be removed (if any) to get DP in CORRECT position to align with Turbo.

6. ANYTHING that NEEDS to be done to the "puck" in the DP... BEFORE installing---antiseize...OR.???

ANYTHING ELSE?????
THANKS
SORRY for the long QUESTIONS, But I DON'T want to SCREW-UP!!!!

#1 there is no gasket between the dp & turbo exhaust housing.
#2 not sure, i replaced the dp & converter at the same time and had no clearence issues at all.
#3 i have heard that a bad motor mount could cause problems.
#4 the hardest part would be seperating the converter from the stock down pipe and getting the bolts on the turbo exhaust housing out.
#5 the easiest way to install the down pipe would be from the top.there will be some tilting and twisting involved to get it to line up.

Thanks

GREAt suggestion  -----sometime I forget the difference between Students and Adult ;) writing/reading for comprehension.

It is fairly common to snap the bolts off that bolt the elbow to the turbo if they have never been removed! Be prepared to drill a few out and Heli-coil them up!

easiest thing i ever put on my car, took about an hour start start to finish (including running it w/ open exhuast b4 capping it back up)
