If you are using the cat just to pass the emissions test, and you live in an area that uses a dynomometer to test emissions, IMHO, I would not use just a plain old two way cat. You should use a three-way cat. The difference is that the three way cat has a separate bed or chamber use for the control of NOx. The three-way cat can control up to 1800 ppm of NOx, almost more that your EGR valve can control. ATRs high flow cat that accompanies their down pipe is a a three-way cat. It is kind of pricey if all you need is the cat. You may be able to price check some or all of the vendors, or maybe get one used from a board member. If you want to weld a flange on a 2 1/2 inch high flow cat, I'll sell you my old one for cheap. works great and no broken substrate material.
