I have an atr wastegate hooked up through the wastegate solenoid. Is this correct or should I not use the solenoid? With the atr adjusting screw all the way out, I was getting about 12 psi of boost. Now with it nearly all the way in, I'm getting about 16 psi of boost. I'm planning on installing alkahol injection and will need more boost. There's not much adjusting left for any more.

Well, I guess I'll just unhook the waiste gate solenoid and and see what happens.

Next spring. :frown: KC is getting ice pellets.

You need to get an air regulator that used with an air compressor or a spry gun. Hook one vacuum hose from the turbo compressor housing directly to the back of the waste gate and get another line from the compressor housing( use a T) bring it inside the car and hook it to the inlet of the air regulator. Run another hose out from the outlet of the air regulator to the front of the waste gate. By controlling the pressure applied via the air regulator to the front of the waste gate diaphragm, you can control the boost.

turbo1dr, does your sig say 12 , 60 lb injectors?

You read it right, Vern there has an awesome setup with 12 injectors where when you hit certain amount of boost the motor switches from pump gas to race gas. I am thinking of doing the samething now that Vern did all the research hard work:D :D

There should be link out there, you may want to check his site out

Please list the make and model number of the regulator you use and where you buy it from. I have one for my air compressor, but it would be way to big. It is a Campbell Hausfeld that I bought from Walmart. I don't know the model number, but I think they do make smaller ones.

I have bought it from Home Depot and Menards but I don't have any part #'s. I think if you ask the hardware department for an air regulator for a spray gun, they will know exactly what you are talking about and that should do the job. You may have to go to Ace Hardware and get few smaller brass fittings to thread into the regulator so that you can accommodate the smaller vacuum hoses. All it is a valve that controls the out put of the in coming air to a desired pressure. Say that your turbo is making 15 psi so that inlet of the regulator sees 15psi but the output out the regulator can be controlled from 1 psi all the way to 15. More pressure you apply to the front of the diaphragm of the waste gate, more boost you will see.

Do a search on Ebay for a manual Turbo boost controller so you will get an idea.
