I have a mechanical fuel press gauge mounted in the gauge pod with an isolator.

For the first couple of days it worked great but today it started jumping around about 5 psi at idle and making a loud clicking noise(sounds like a bad lifter:o) . It's much worse at idle.

The car is running fine but I'm wondering if the isolator is going bad or somehow there was a little air in the line/isolator that is just rearing it's ugly head now.

I seriously doubt it's the fuel pump.

call up autometer, all they sell is defective junk, you may get 1 out of 10 that work correctly. i should know, i sell them, call them up, they will charge you a small fee like 18 dollars to "get it fixed" they send you a new one......... really

If you only have 1 guage from autometer, use VDO guages, they are backlit anyways, not that stupid reflective ring that autometer has instead of using a transparent lense, more ways of making thier guages cheap! plus VDO gauges are cheaper, but not cheap in quality.

HTH

I'd re-blead it if possible.

You use anti-freeze mix?

Hope it's just a bubble, most likely at the gauge too.
