Just bought some 15x10 Centerline Convo Pro Stars and the backspacing is 3 3/8". The guy who sold them to me said they worked fine no rubbing with no notchings/rolling fender lip. Is this true? I was reading up on backspacing and I see a lot of people running 4" bs or 4.5"

depending on the tire size, your tires may stick out of the wheel well.

I think you should be ok.
A true 10.5 slick would give you problems!

All cars are different. I run 245/60/15 bfg's on 15x8 with 4" backspacing draglites. I put a 7/32" spacer on too because I didn't want any rubbing on turns and because of the little plate on the frame. I probably would've been ok without the spacer but i wanted to make sure. Also there is only about 1/2 inch from outside edge of the tire to inside edge of my fender lip. So 15x10's would've rubbed for sure on my car and I'm 1/2"+ closer to the frame the your 3 3/8" backspacing. The way to be sure is to take lots of measurements and compare.

I have them on the car now and you want a 4.5 bs. You will need the aluminum drums to help push out the rim about 1/8 of an inch or more.

295/50 will not rub, but you will need to add poly bushings and box the lowers so that they do not rub in turns etc.
If you lower the car, you will want to roll the lip.

I run 15x10 wheels ,4.5 BS'ing ,28x10.5 MT ET Drags , no rubbing so far . 1.53 60 ft . I am working on it
