Backwards Manifold

I was looking through some old photos i took at Bonneville in 2003 and 2003. There was a streamliner owned by Nick & Laura Mays from Montana. Super nice people. The goal was to get Laura in the 200 MPH club safely. They started out with a 231 and went 160 in 2002 (maybe more), then put in a Stage II and easily went over 200 in 2003. I noticed the Weiand Smokey Yunick intake manifold was on backwards on the 231. It can work for sure. Here are some photos. Nick passed away not too long ago. The streamliner was sold and became Montana Magic. Not sure what engine it ran then.

I suppose you run the intake to whichever end of the motor you have room to stash a turbo.
