Bad ECM?

What are the signs of a bad ECM? The car is running ragged and smells rich. The readings on my OTC scantool are at 0 for everything. Does this sound like it's time for another computer? Car was running great and then starts this crap right out of the blue.

Well, I removed the ecm and pressed down on the chip. This seems to have solved the problem at least for the moment. I guess it most not have been seated but I haven't messed with the chip or ecm in months so it's kind of weird. Getting ready to pull the tranny for a rebuild and do new injectors so the last thing I need is something else to pour money in.
