Bad scanmaster??

I finally got around to installing my scanmaster and now it seem like it's not working. What is happen is it will power up, flash scanmaster 2.2 then PL 24.8 and then power down not sure what's up. I have check the Ground, power and ALDl source, all connection seem to be good. As this happen to anyone? Thanks for any input.

Something like this happens to mine once and a while (usually if the car sits for a while and the battery goes low). Either it won't come on at all or, it will get dots across the screen and say 2.0, and power down. I disconnect the battery and it's fine.

Thanks for the reply, it seem the scanmaster I have is a 2.2 that works with a PL and the 2.1 get it's signal from the ALDL. So looking for a 2.1 chip to make it work.
