Ball Bearing?????

I got a 60-1 Turbo on the way. Turbo is perfectly fine no smoke all good. My ? is can a ball bearing be mounted on this turbo? Is it really worth the extra money? I went on the John Craig website and I didn't locate his email addy? What exactly does a ball bearing do and is it worth the increase in power?

You would have alot more$$ In that turbo if you wanted to convert it over.. Best to sell it and buy a new one... Who did the turbo come from?? Most,, if not all precision turbos will (NOT) convert over.. I would say in a 60, there is no need for BB.. It should spool fine with a 3000 -3200 stall.. The BB turbos were made for better spool on the line.. Now if it was a 72 or equiv, I would say Yes , the BB is worth the extra Cash...... But you would be throwing your $$ down the crapper on this turbo..
