Banging coming from rear end?

When going wot from a stop something sounds and feels like it's hitting underneath the back floorboard. Doesn't do it any other time. Sounds really bad! Any ideas? Thanks, R.B.

Pretty hard to give a suggestion from your description dude. I'd look at the upper control arm bushings first, then the lowers, the swaybar mounting bolts and the driveshaft loop for contact if you run one. Maybe the exhaust/muffler is rapping on the floor?
Dunno, more info needed I think.

Pinion snubber?? Loose shock? Torn bracket for upper control arms. Gotta get under there a poke around.

I put it up on a rack today and found the problem. Both bolts that hold the trans mount had stripped out and were gone. Repaired that and now it's fine. Man, it's always something with these cars! But don't you just love them when they're right! R.B.
