My GN is currently in storage...has been since October...anyways I can't let the car sit more than a week without the battery going dead...sad thing is it is a brand new battery...

What the heck could cause the battery to drain like this? I never had a problem before...I tried to look for bulbs staying on and such...nothing...is there maybe something I can't see that is causing battery drainage? Or is it just this really cold weather...It's about 25-30 degrees in the garage most of the time...

Unplug the hood light till Spring and...

Get a mini trickle charger at Advance or AutoZone.

:)

My vote is for mice....evil little creatures....probably listening to the radio late at night and having their kinky little mouse parties. Damn them!!!

If you disagree with my theory (and believe me I know about mice and cars) then go out and get one of them there current testing lights and begin the search at the fuse pannel.

With everything turned off, see what is still drawing current.

If you can not find the source of the power drain then the car is cursed and you need to sell it to me cheap ;-)

Could be the stereo memory draining it. Since the car is doing nothing just pull one fuse a week until the battery stops draining, you have found the drain.

My vote is the Alternator Diode pack is shorted and draining the battery. Like they said, do a voltage drain test.

Do you have a kill switch or an alarm that has blinking light? I had to remove mine because I coundn't go three days without having a charge to it.
