Guess I'm only partially right....the GNX uses resonators in lieu of mufflers (per Rob Wilson).

I Bought a Dynomax 3 1/2 Flow through design muffler and dumped it before the rearend. It really didn't drone that bad.And cost me $70.00 to have put in with a dump at the down pipe.
Sound great at an idle out side the car.
