Ok, I promise I searched for this info before I ask these questions but there is so much scattered info that doesnt match up so I figured I would ask... I know how annoying newbie questions are, but I promise I search before I ask!

OK, so I want to convert to a 3.5in LS1 MAF with the appropriate "extender". First off, I dont know where to get a converter or extender, or who makes/sells them. Second, where is the best place to look for an LS1 MAF? Is used ok, or is it better to go with new?

I dont mind spending the money to do everything right because this is my daily driver from now on, and it needs to run right all the time with the littlest down time possible.

Im going to do all of this at once with a Big Mouth CAI, and 3.5in MAF pipe so Im hoping for a decent kick in the pants from all of this! Im doing everything in sections with this car. Right now it's Pre-turbo intake time, and next thing on the list is the up pipe, ported plenum, and larger TB.

The mad scientist who invented the translator posted this list of sources for a used MAF from your local U-pull-it yard: Click here :)

contact Mike at Full Throttle and speed for the MAF translator.

For the maf, you can use the LT1 or LS1 MAF. You can get them from you pull it yards or parts warehouses. The LT1 will work just fine and new from the dealer I can get them for about 80 bucks from my Buick contact. LS1 are a little moer about 20 to 40 dollars I think. Used good working one is fine. They are pretty robust so do not go bad very often. Used can be had from 20 to about 70. bucks. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! I want to go with the LS1 because of it's 3.5in bore. My goal is to slowly make this engine SCREAM and Im going big because I only want to do everything once. Full Throttle has everything I need, and Im going to talk to the guys at Conley's performance and run everything by them before doing it.

The more I learn about how these cars work the more I like them! These things are a pretty big change from the drag bikes I have been working with...
