I need to have an ECM modded to run 55 lb injectors. Does anyone have a recommendation for a source to do this (other than Quad Air)?

Thanks very much.

Had mine done by Ramchargers, and it's been flawless.

Cleveland TN?
You need to swing by John G's BBQ. He's a real hot rodder. He was out of things for a while, but is getting back into it. Oh, and get a Cajun Seasoned Steak there, they are delicious.

Hey Bruce...

Thanxx for the info. I'll contact Ramchargers.

Where's John G's BBQ? I'd be interested to check it out.

I spoke to Kevin at Ramchargers this afternoon and I will ship my ECM to him tomorrow. The total cost (including return shipping) is $157.

Does anyone know what thel long term effects of not running a modded ecm are? ie. do the injectors eventually burn up, or the ecm itself. The reason I ask is that I swapped out my modded ecm for a stocker while troubleshooting a problem and noticed no difference whatsoever running 55 lb. injectors. THANKS !

My understanding is that the original injector drivers in an un-modded ECM will heat up and burn out when driving low impedence injectors for an extended period. My experience also indicates that even a modded ECM is susceptible to heat problems when running low impedence injectors, but my problem occurred with a re-manned ECM that turned out to be faulty.

BTB, Scott - the intake and valve covers you powdercoated for us two years ago still look great. Thanks again!

Quad Air for $135 plus $9 to ship.
No problem with my ECM from Red doing it.
