I have to fans on the car that were there when I bought it. This is a hot air car so they are after market. I'm having trouble getting the wiring to work. Fans work fine when I hotwire them but I can't get the wireing harness to work. I changed out the relay and that did nothing. I don't have them going through the ECM as in 86/87. I am switching to an 86/87 ECM and was wondering If I should wire them up with whatever I pull out of the car that will donate my ECM or if I should forget all that and buy a new wiring kit via summit or someone like that and go around the computer? What do you think?

The factory wiring uses a ground trigger on the relay system.

ECM and temp. sensors grounded the green or green with yellow stripe wires on the relays to turn them on.

Try that approach if using the stock wiring and system. :)

I found an 86 olds that I'm taking the ECM out of along with the fan and MAT sensor wiring harness. So I'll give that a go. The fans have alot of wires that I can't quite make sense of but I'll make sure to see how it comes out and duplicate it when it goes in. Thanks for your help.
