Well I'm planning on painting the car this winter and have been thinking about going white. Has anyone here changed the color of their true GN? Is it frowned upon? I really like the look of the white T-Type's and ain't too concerned about the effect on value. I have seen a pic somewhere of a white GN with all the badging ect... and kinda fell in love with the look.

Just curious what everyones opinion is on doing this? Paint it white, or leave it black and find another T?

I think it looks bad ass with all the black trim... on a t type. I would never paint my GN anything other than black... otherwise it wouldnt be the black beast. JMHO

I know what ya mean, "A white GN WTF?", but like you said, they look bad ass white with everything blacked out. Like your sig BTW.
Thanks for the reply

White is my next color for a TR. They do look awsome! I like the total white look, and the blackout package both.

Nice car above!

I agree, white T's look awsome. IMHO, a white GN *could* look really awsome too, but I'm pretty sure you'd kill the resale/collector value - HOWEVER, if you're not worried about that, then go for it!!! You like what you like! It's *your* car, don't worry too much about what other people think! just keep in mind though, you will probably hear a lot of, "That's not a real GN!" but maybe that's no big deal.

And it will go faster since white cars are faster than black ones :D

Let the mud slinging begin

I could go both ways on this....;)

You'd lose a lot of recognition and uniqueness....But gain more stealth. On any hot day, white is always better than black.

I remember clearly RUQWKNF27's posts when he finished his car. Its not an ordinary face lift to get it looking the way his looks! The interior of ANY 'T' will go better with white than the GN interior (just my opinion).

If you want speed, follow Razor's advice: White cars really fly! :D

When you get down to the nitty-gritty, I think you'd eventually regret a white paint job on a GN. There is a white GN in my town. When I saw it for the first time, I thought it was a mistake. I turn my head away every time I drive by....

I like white....

but now I am thinking I'd like to have a black car. But I definately won't paint my white T black. ;)

Anything else you're thinking of doing? Just the body/black out? Bumpers too like RUQ's look?

Hows it running? You and Chip (Prasad) pulled the double shifts before Quad Cities. Talk about 'under pressure!'

After you go White ,come back and tell me how few cops look at you,,my GN got me 4tickets in 6months and it was my slowest car....have had white cars for 5yrs and guess what they dont pull U turns to follow me anymore, like the are trained to look for Black

i Like the white myself. i bought mine (GN) said i wanted black now i see the whites, (i have a white 1500 pickup) now id like to have white........ what i plan on doing is saving my money after i pay off most of my bills and just buy me a white turbo-t & have 2 :D

Sorry fellows I did the unthinkable a couple of years back. Painted mines black cherry, the color of the 96 chevy impala. Everyone that had seen it loves it. Even true GN fanatics likes it. I had two at the same time so I decided to do something different with the other one. How do I post pictures on here?

I love a white T, but I wouldn't paint a GN white either. It's your car tho, just make sure you do a good job so it doesn't look ghetto.

Are you talking about refridgerator white? Or curtain white?

I heard gray ones are real slow

On a gn keep em black. On a T keep em the way they came. Dont butcher up something just restore it!

Well you have Frigidare White, Amana White, Maytag White, and Vanilla White

;)
