Hey guys, I'm still trying to figure out my blm issue. Now they rarely go to 150, but usually hover around 144 at idle (in drive and park) If I let the car sit, they will usually drop 1 number every minute or two until they reach about 134-136. At this point they will usually stay there until I start moving and come to another stop, or they will quickly rise back to 144 after being at ~134 for a few minutes.

Has anyone ever seen behavior like this? All help is greatly appreciated.

Gasoline is composed of many aromatics.
And they all have different boiling temps..
Some as low as 130dF.
As the manifold temp approaches and exceeds that temp., the fuel gets much more vaporized as it is then gas instead of liquid. And it burns better, so the more needs less fuel to idle, so the BLs will drop some.

At temps as high as 100dF gasoline is often almost waxy looking as it leaves the injector when photo'ed with high speed cameras.

Also check to see if the fan going off and on might be causing part of the change and report back. My GN does this and I'm interested to see if yours does too.

TIA

dude blms of 134 are just ideal leave it a lone, you dont want them to be below 90 or above 160, just leave it alone as far as them changing when u drive it is expected, dont mess with it, remember ideal blms are 128 at idle so u are still running a little lean but other than that not a problem, that can be solved by adding a couple of pounds of fuel pressure, good luck.

I understand what you are saying wicked, but I was more or less concerned about the fluctuation in them in such a short amount of time. For instance, at one red light my blms will read 137, 2 miles down the street they will read 146...ect.
