blow off vent

i do not know the proper name for the stock thingofabob that farts when gas pedal is released after turbo has gotten into boost. where is this whatchamacallit? does it ever go bad or leak? please help the unknowing. thank u very much.

A blow off valve. We don't have them. What you hear is the turbo pressure blowing back through air filter.

Sometimes you will see them as "BOV" also. Yea our cars did not come with them from GM, but some of our cars have them now .
