What is a good way to keep you car from rolling when going around corners. My outer fenders are comming way down when I turn and touching my tires.

First thing is to have good shocks. After that, some choices. Stiffer springs, and/or stiffer sway bars. The 36 mm hollow front bar off an "F" body will help, as will a stiffer bar in back. Stiffer springs all around will help, too. Just depends on how you want the car to ride and handle. There are a couple of write-ups around, check out GnTType.org, under "suspension".

The first thing you should do is check the supension out for broken parts. This does not sound normal.

I think I just have crappy springs, I put these blue things in when I first got the car. I have no idea what they are. Second I have no front sway bar, I would like to keep it off unless I really need one to fix this problem.

Second I have no front sway bar,
If you want to leave off the sway bar, then you have no choice but to go with the stiffer springs. Or you can just stiffen up the rear suspension, big time, and get rid of the roll. Of course, you may end up with a lot of oversteer, but doesn't seem like you are really interested in best handling.

oh buddy, those are for leaf spring cars. and if you wanna run without a front sway bar you will need stiffer suspension and, dont turn so fast.

and i may be bass ackwards but i thought having the rear way stiffer than the front, suspension wise, would cause understeer.

LOL well I guess I got stiffed. I don't turn fast, I rub even at red lights and normal corners

No, it won't, not under real hard cornering. The car has to have some roll resistance. It can come from the springs or from sway bars. Either one will transfer weight from inside to outside, in response to cornering forces. If you stiffen one end too much, then too much of the weight transfer will take place at one end of the car. With a really stiff rear suspension, and soft front suspension, you can end up actually lifting the inside rear wheel. Somewhere around that point, the rear end will lose traction, and come around- sudden jump to oversteer, very hard to control. Especially on a car like the Regal, which is pretty front heavy, you'll start out with understeer, and then get sudden switch to oversteer. Not many drivers like that kind of handling.

I see two problems here, one your suspension system has been screwed up and in poor condition. The only reason to remove the front sway bar is for drag racing. Sounds like you have soft front springs again for track only. Who know what has been done to the rear. A stock GN suspension in good shape is a pretty nice car to drive. The engineers at Buick did know what they were doing for a nice street car.

Two, I do not think you have a lot of experience in suspensions and suspension setup. Just throwing different springs shocks and bars without a lot of setup experience is a license for disaster.

Your best bet for a good driving experience is to return the car to stock. That way you can have safe car that performs as intended.

Yeah I dont know alot about suspension on these cars. I never touched the front springs or shocks. I did remove the front sway bar. For those that "know alot" about the suspension, what is a good F/R spring and shock.

Put the front sway bar back on. The other name for a sway bar is "anti-roll bar."

Good shocks, cheap KYB, expensive Koni. Go to http://www.globalwestsuspension.com/MainCat.asp?MainCatID=10 for springs. Call them and tell them what you want to do and go with there spring recomendations. There are other ways and companies to get good springs from but GW can really match components.

The other thing is for a suspension to work properly every part must be in excellent condition. You can spend a fortune in spring and shocks but if the bushihgs are shot it will still handle like garbage.

Bilstein shocks are exceptional on these cars, available from shox.com very inexpensively. I am very happy with Kirban Performance front and rear stock height performance springs. And as much as I like Global West, I am not too sure that I would consider them the best source of information for what shocks to purchase and from whom to purchase them from.

A 36mm hollow front sway bar will drastically reduce your body roll and save 10 pounds over stock bar. You could probably keep your soft springs and shocks and still eliminate body roll just by installing this bar. BTW, I have a couple for sale if you want one ;)

As far as I know I still have stock suspension on the front minus the "Anit Roll Bar". I would need the hardware to mount it also. What is your price?

36mm hollow bars

My bars are sandblasted and ppg epoxy primered satin black and are like new. $75 shipped. You can just use stock replacement hardware.

What I mean is you can buy stock replacement hardware. Stock end links are about $6 or $8, available anywhere. The only other hardware needed is two bushings and two brackets where the bar mounts to the frame. I can supply two used bushings and brackets if needed or Kirban sells them specifically for the 36mm bars.
