Boost control question ?

My in car boost controller to a crap on me and max boost is about 23-24 lbs of boost. (Used to be able to adjust it up to 30 +) It works but just not that well. Can I turn up the boost by simply shorting the rod on the actuator say too 27-28 lbs. Hell 30lbs?

You should be able to as long as you go back to the orignal boost solinoid type control.
