Right now I am running a stock adj. 87 style wastegate with the puck all the way closed but the rod is not pulled out to slip on the puck. So, no pre-load on the spring. I am running this with the stock "y"(which is in correct) and a homemade bleeder valve. The bleeder valve is a adjustable air pressure regulator. When I run the regulator closed, no air bleeding, the car runs at about 8# of boost. Then I open the regulator a couple of turns and get about 10# and then open it some more and get 15# at 3/4 throttle. So, I turn it back about half way and get 10# agian then go try to go back up and get the 15# at part throttle. I am trying this inbetween what it was at before and then moving this much or that much. There is just not enough adjustment in this setup for my car??
Does this sound like I am doing something wrong or is it just that hard to control?
So, I want to go with a different setup? I am think I would have to get a manual boost controller, I have about $100 to play with here. So, I did some searching, but I want to hear from you guys/gals what would be best for the money I got. I want something inside the car also. I saw this one, what is different about this one then the bleeder I am running, besides someone makes it for this purpose alone:

I am looking at running a safe 15# on 93 octane and then being able to turn it up some when I go to the track on 93 +110 octane. I don't want to have to deal with the damn adjustable wastegate everytime I want to go up or down. Thanks, Nick.

u need at least 1/8 inch preload on wastegate rod and it should be ran tuner style thats line from compressor to bleeder then to wastegate

I will try it that way tommorrow, thanks. If not I have been reading up on the RJC one and I think I am going to go with that. But, if the regulator will work then I will use it for now. Save up for an electric one. Thanks for the responses guys!!! Appreciate the help, Nick.
