boost problem please help!

with a ra93 chip and 17# it hits 17# and stays there steady when i put in the ra108 and 22# the boost climbs to 22# and then drops to 15# 22# then 15# whats the problem?

just because the chip

just cause the chip says 22 pounds of boost does not mean you get 22psi, you still have to move the wastegate rod manually, or you prolly have a bad bleeder selenoid, also make sure you have good gas before running high boost and high timing, the motor could be knocking pulling off boost and timing thus the boost surge.

Thanks for the info very much. Ihad leaned towarda bad bleeder first off. Can I get a boost sylinoid at advance auto parts?

I looked for one and could only find it at the dealer, about $35 if I remember right.

I suggest that you invest the $35 otherwise, and opt for one of these boost controllers: http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=77937

Most guys switch to a better boost controller, and lose the wastegate solenoid sooner or later(hopefully it's sooner). I could have saved alot of time had I had known what I know now.
