Boost spike in 3rd gear

Recently noticed about 2-2.5 boost increase when hit 3rd gear. Internal gate with rjc valve. Rock solid boost, no creep, just sudden jump from 25 to27 in 3rd. Have car tuned for 27 and would like 27 across the board. This is a 45a qtrim with .85 exh and a ptc 9.5 converter. Is this able to correct or just is what it is? Thanks, Bob.

My te44 does the same thing and I run the same boost control setup as you. Mine doesn't go higher until I lock the converter but it's the extra load that does it.
