I am currently the owner of a 1995 Pontiac Trans Am, with all the bolt on mods. The car is great, but im tired of driving a stick. The car ran best of 13.0@108. I am looking to get rid of this car, and buy a GN. I have always wanted a GN, and are new to them. I know the basics, but am trying to get the real news from REAL owners. How easy is it to make a GN, a daily driven mid to low 12 second car, without motor, or turbo replacment? Are they prone to problems? What is is that Buick needed to do better on these cars? I found a 23,000mi orginal owned GN in North Carolina, that I am very interested in picking up. It is unmodded, and thats what I am looking for. I am new to this page, thanks a lot guys.

I'd figure about $5-6K on top of the stocker car price to meet your goal.

You might need a turbo for two reasons, one it could have an oil leak and need servicing and two it isn't easy to run low 12's on pump gas with the stocker limited to 22psi. Prolly need alchohol or propane injection or run GT100 all the time. :)

Check the brakes carefully when buying.

Buy the book from Kirbans performance on what to look for when buying a car.

You'll need good traction tires to do low 12's in street trim also.

Good luck, I don't think your goals are easy either. ;)
