My tranny was rebuilt about 7 months ago, and has never been right. The shifts from 1st to 2nd aren't firm at all under WOT. I have an 85 GN tranny in my 87. The guy drilled out 2 holes too big when making me a "shift kit" and the shifts are just sloppy. Do you think your shift kit will help any? While I'm at it, should I add a better servo too?

Bruce can fix you up.

You'll probably also do well to get larger boost valves and a better pressure regulator spring as well.

I know about how hard it is to install the shift kit and servo, but how hard is it to install the boost valves and reg. spring?

If you can do the other two those two are a cinch..:D

LOL.... I can't do either. I am having my mechanic handle this, but was just wondering if the tranny had to come out for the boost valve install or can all the parts be installed with the tranny in, and in a few hours? I was hoping to have the shift kit, servo, and reg, spring kit all installed in the same day. Thanks for the replies.

All of it can be done in car

it all can be done in car in a couple of hours. Have fun with it when it's done.
