If that is the complete story then this guy should have a good case. I would spend every last dollar I had suing that officer and the department. That guy can use all of the other cops plus his friend as witnesses to have the other officer reprimanded and removed. I do find it hard to believe that the other officers are not allowed to intervene because it was this officer's 'baby.' I am sure they had the authority to stop this abuse before the guy ended up being arrested. I would not settle for anything less than that officer being fired.

IMHO, if there was a supervisor there, he would make the call on this. If the sargeant came rolling up on this, I'm confident he would have called BS and sent this kid on his way. How would you like to have a felony weapons cahrge on your record the rest of your life, and the weapon was a spark plug socket!

If in fact this was played out like it says....It sounds like this is an example of one of the "bad apples" on the tree that screw up the professionalism others try to have.. I really hate to hear about things like this..

Nothing new...

...or anything that is surprising to me. Real sad story though. I bet that is the whole story to. As far as I am concerned anyone who wears a badge is not to be trusted, they are just power hungrey individuals looking to ruin your day.

We're not getting the whole story I don't think. Or did I miss something.
What was the $800 fine for??? My bet would be have open booze in the car (in which case he deserves everything he got).

Damn man.. Why not tell else how you really feel..

Man I wish that happened to me...

I wouldn't mind OWNING A COUNTY!! There are similarities to this and to the previous thread about the girl with blue lights, but this sounds more credible to me.

As always, I have full respect for the police and can fully understand this guys 'bad taste' that he has now. It's extremely unfortunate that this type of thing goes on. I can only hope it was some young hot shot with a grudge that needs to loose his job quickly.

IF all is true, I DO feel sorry for that guy. But then again, I have two words for him... settlement check!!

Mark, please keep us up to date on the outcome.

Not going to get into it with you again but it's a good thing that most police officers don't feel this way about people who drive fast cars.

LOL:D

I agree on the concealed weapon charges, ever stick a 1/2 drive socket on the end of an impact gun....with a universal?

I woulda told the officer, "Look, I don't know what kind of cop YOU are, but what you feel there ISN'T a socket in my pocket!"

j/k

What else would you expect from these punk cops, going for the easy take down of a law abiding citizen paying their salary.
They would never think of pulling over a car load of thugs where one of them might be packing some heat.

Get a good lawyer, first. Get a copy of the police tape, second. I hope they played it safe and put you on film. No way that sticks. No way spark plug socket= jail time in this case. No way. Dirty cops are the worst. :(

that means anything you carry in your pocket is a weapon? How about a pen, keys, or a cell phone? I would get a lawyer all over that, expose it to the media and make a fool out of that cop.

I have the utmost respect for cops, But i have to say i no many of them, and what bothers me the most is that ALL of them go out to bars on weekends and get lit, and they all get in their cars and drive home! that is not very professional. then they go out and bust people for doing what the do. Is that right?

Hey! Now I'm pissed! Why does some guy on the V8 board have MY avatar. The one I made with my bootleg copy of Gif constructor set! I should kill my avatar and turn him in to those GCS guys I owe $25 bucks to.
