i know this might be wierd to ask i had a 350r but it is gone now the buick i had was kool motor went to the crapper but i have a 283 that i can through in it i was hoping that someone might be willing to tell me what i could do to it to get 400+ horsepower out of it if possible

I wouldn't bother, rods are too weak and bore and stroke is too small. Sell the 283 at a swap meet or just slap it in, get a roller 350, slap a good set of heads on with a bigger cam and 13/4 headers on it and call it good. If u wanna be different, which I would do get a Buick 455, if u don'tget accessories with it u can use v6 or 350 ones with a little finagalling. Postons sells 455 regal kits at a reasonable cost still I believe. Good Luck.
