I was thinking of doing the Ruggles Cam Bearing oil hole mods. The one where you make smaller holes and reclock the bearing. It seems to make sense and put more oil to where it is needed most.
Does anyone have any experience, recommendations, downsides or know of bearings that have smaller holes already?
My bits just arrived so im ready to have at in the next day or so.

TA Performance has rear groove cam bearings with smaller oil holes at 3 and 7 oclock. They work great.

I never worry about doing that. I always install the oil feed holes at 4:00~4:30 when viewed from the front. As long as the oil is injected where the cam is running low, that minimized clearance will keep the hemorrhaging under control.

It’s funny that you just brought this up as I just did that mod 10 min ago . Lol

thanks for the advice. Ill be going with the dual groove dual feed TA cam bearings. Cant make the front bearing holes any smaller less I get new ones and having the cam sit on top the holes makes a lot of sense also.
Chris you've got very steady hands. cant wait to see that block on the strip!

good idea on the 4:00. how about the #1 clocking?

Yup make sense,
So where do ya clock the #1? Cam Bearing 2 holes?
I saw somewhere to set the two holes at 1:00 and 6:00 or 3:00 and 7:00? I'm not sure

If you are using the TA back groove bearings, the directions say 3:00 and 7:00.

yeah I have another motor on back burner and would like to try standard style on it.
