Which wire is best to interrupt at the ECM hopefully to disable the car for anit-theft?

Would the yellow A11 wire for the fuel injection timing input do the job if open circuited via a good relay?

Or do you need to interrupt the cam signal itself out at the CCCI module?

TIA :)

I think the one you mentioned may just put the ECM in base timing mode (running off of the module's default timing). I seem to remember somebody having a problem with that wire open and headers glowing red... :p

I would interrupt the cam signal before the module. I do wonder about noise concerns; probably less critical here than it would be with a mag input.

Another nice thing you can to do is hide a momentary switch in a location that will ground a relay and complete the starter wire circuit that you splice into in a pain in the a** location and hide the relay. That way when the key is turned absoultly NOTHING happens and you can't forget to set it. The only problem is you have to put the switch in a reachable but not obvious location as things can get interesting if the car happens to stall while your moving and you try to restart aka takes both hands or something. You can also run a hidden ground wire to mirror the momentary switch and put a fuse connector in line so if you need to take the car somewhere for service you just plug a fuse in and it starts as normal and you don't have to give out any secrets.

Just an idea...

Yeah the car runs with the yellow wire open, wrong one. ;)

I just want something at the ECM to kill it, already ran the wire over there for the job. :)

Howzabout the purple white reference pulse input? :D

Crank Ref Hi? That should do it...try and report back. :)

Have to try it tomorrow pouring rain here now.

After I resplice my yellow line back to make it whole again. ;)

Hope you're right Kendall. :)

Yup, he's right. :)

Purple/white wire did it.

Yellow wire is restored like new. ;)

Thanks Kendall.

put a switch inline with orange wire going to computer.
think about it when you unplug computer to clear codes the car wont start.
just my 02 cents

Didn't want to have the chip relearn every time I drive the car.

Killing the power or memory power wasn't an option for this one.
