cam sensor question

is there a right and wrong way to install the cam sensor? i have heard some say the the plug should be about 8 o'clock mine is about 3 but the car runs..... will it change if i move it?? car run better or worse???or am i just worrying about nothing....

There is only ONE right way to install the cam sensor. The position or direction where the wires face has no bearing on proper installation.

Engine must be set at 25 deg. after TDC. Window in rotor and slot in cap must be aligned. Does not matter where the wires point.
