I may need one.:(

Either the lifter crapped out or I wiped a lobe on the cam. Haven't heard of anyone wiping a billet roller before but I guess anything is possible.

I let my buddy make the last pass of the night in it and he got it up on the rev limiter pretty hard in the burn out box.

Power had seemed a bit down all day and I think it had been going bad for some time and I had just blew it off as leak on the new headers.

Didn't notice the noise(just thought it was another exh leak) untill I got home home which is about 25 miles.

Got home and was thinking "that's a BAD exh leak" !

More I listened I knew it was valve train noise:( .

Back rocker on pass side is so loose I can nearly pull the push rod out. Lucky I got her home I guess.

Rocker and pushrod seem to be ok.

I currently have a 210/210 billet roller with a tad over .500 lift.

I see a lot of people with 218+ shifting at about the same rpm's as me.

I hope it's a lifter but if I need a cam what should I get?

That is almost exactly my set up with a 218/218 cam. Car runs nice haven't gotten it to the track yet since the rebuild.

First find out the problem. If the pushrod is loose, sounds like the lifter collapsed, but don't know how that happens with a roller. A wiped lobe usually just doesn't lift much, if any. should still be tight on the base circle. Maybe you'll be lucky, and won't need a new cam.

I hope not. I Won't have a chance to pull the intake till next sat.

TRDirks wiped a roller cam lobe last fall - link bar came loose and the lifter turned sideways and started plowing up cam :-(. Hope yours isn't that bad.
