Cam upgrade ??

I'm going to be doing valve springs and a few other mods very soon. while i'm doing the timing cover/chain and valve springs, should i upgrade the cam? Someone please offer some adivce. oh, not the car in the sig either its a hot air soon to be cold air 84 gn if that changes the recomendation. thanks...

about the last thing to waste your $$ on is a cam on these cars.....until you need one (and that would be your basic low 11 sec car)

The reason i asked is it would only take a little more time to put in a new one. It would cost me a whole day to replace it at a later time, could just knock it out. If its going to do nothing for my car then I dont want it. I plan on getting the car into the 12's at least! If I dont need a cam to do that, then I could see it being a waste. I'd like some other opinions also,No offence, but everyones got a different opinion Thanks for the reply.

I doubt you'll find many different opinions on this subject.....if your stock cam is good and your goals are less than 10's, keep what you got

Azgn, thanks thats basically what i want to know. I only plan on 12's( hopefully low), for this car. If its not going to help, I'll use some money for other area's. Thanks again, Tim
