Went to the track. I am extremely frustrated. My car is getting slower not faster. First run was a 4lb boost launch with a 2.38 60ft (on slicks). 14.08 @ 103mph. It went down hill from there. I could only build 5lbs on the line, period. I ran 22lbs in the run but launch is killing me. That run had 0 Knock and 800 o2's. I don't get it. Last time out I ran horrible 13.3 @ 99mph with 2.1 60ft. Figured I would launch harder to do better. The harder I tried the worse the car got. I ran 14 sec on 3 runs and 2 others I let off because I got knock. Thought maybe I cracked the header, so since it is night I checked it a few minutes ago. Not cracked, although I can see about 3 of the spark plugs sparking ever so slighty. I don't know if they came loose but I will check them tomorrow to make sure they are tight in the heads. What the heck is up with my car. 22lbs of boost, 110 fuel and I run slower than it did stock. About ready to give up racing this thing. It is 12 second car and I can't get in the 12's. Somebody help with suggestion on possiblilities.

First off, do you have line lock for your burnouts to heat up the slicks. If you just use the foot brake, it heats up the rear brakes to the point where they won't hold much boost at the line. Even still, I launched off idle on street tires with a truely stock car and still got 2.20 short times.

Second, something definatly isn't right if your able to see sparks from the plugs! Plugs are cheap enough, why don't you just go ahead and swap new ones in. Use the delco plugs, for a car with your build, go one step cooler. I've had best results using the CR43TS. Might not be a bad idea to get a new set of wires.

Put new plugs and wires on last fall. Wires are MSD 8.5mm and AC R43 gapped at .33. They may have come loose and that is first on the agenda tomorrow morning to check

Stock torque converter may have something to do with it. Maybe you need a higher stall.

Thought has crossed my mind about the torque comverter, but I was running 12's last year with the same setup. Only thing different is the exhaust. Went to the hooker catback system with a test pipe rather than a Flowmaster with a dump, so I am runnung through mufflers not open like last year
