I am currently replacing the head gaskets on my 86 grand national. I disconnected everything to the intake that would keep it on, along with all the bolts on each side. I pried it up with a screw driver cuz it was really on there...now it seems to be loose all around but like something is holding it in the middle. I took off the Throttle Body because I thought there might be a bolt in the middle but there was nothing. I have really looked around and am not seeing anything else connected... is there anything that holds it in the middle??
any input or help is appreciated...thanks!

tight intake

Hi!
Well, if you have removed all 12 or so bolts, and all the asociated hardware, what is there left? Did you remove the bypass hose? I can't think of any other obstructions to your progress. What do you think?

Perhaps it is catching on the inside edges of the valve covers? Heater hose maniflod to water pump?

i got the intake hose to the water pump off...it is possible it could have been catching on the valve covers. I took them off but it was dark out by that time. I am going to be messing around with it tomorrow. hopefully having the valve covers off will be what it was....but any other input or suggestions appreciated...i dont know what else could be holding it...
