Ah today I thought I would be a badass and drive to school with the exhaust cut-out off. (Sounds nice, and has a noticeable performance difference :D) but anyways, I wanted to show my friend that I was giving a ride what my ride can do. so I launch it from like a 15mph roll, the car revs up, turbo spools up, the front end lifts and, everything goes great but then the car decides against it, and falls on its face, a slap the rev limiter twice, and my friend is like oh that’s cool what happened, I’m like oh poop nuggets, what the @#$% happened? when I go to work tomorrow (Saturday), which is an auto shop I’m going to get my boss to drive it and see what he thinks, I’m guessing its the tranny, and its a new one, only like 3 months old... it did it again this after noon, I tried it once between and everything went good, but every time after the last time it starts doing it again, and I don’t push my luck... my dad is pretty stumped on thinking that all the problems I am having with my car have to do with when I went to the track almost a month ago and I dropped my front sway bar. I know this isn’t the problem, but he thinks that was a critical mistake. Anyways…

What do YOU think happened?

Are you sure it is the rev limiter and not knock? also when you run open dump expect to gain 2 psi of boost. so youll need more fuel press. Also watch your gauges and scan tool.
 
the coil pack sounds dead on, i had that problem one time and that fixed it. i could puntch it in drive but before i got to the end of the track id have to knock it in to od to stop it from falling on its face.
 
Everytime I have had a WOT shutdown, I have found a bad wastegate valve. This has always been so traumatic, I have never had the guts to stay on it to see what would happen next. I have found once it goes, I can still give it almost WOT and no problem.
 
alright, update on this whole situation, i took andy for a ride yesterday (my boss) and he heard the car hitting the rev limiter, he said, alright its either the TV (kick down) cable or the governer. so he looked at the tv cable to make sure it was fine. i guess he adjusted it becuase it wasnt hitting the rev limiter any more, but when going a WOT it didnt seem like the car was going anywhere, it seemed like it had no power. that night, when i was on my way to the SFTBC club meet it wouldnt even shift out of second. well tell me what you think, some one said something about a spring broken on the governer gear. and another thing i noticed that my oil/choke light started flickering, which really concerns me, i dont want to have to pull the engine to change the bearings or anything. nuts

well tell me what you think.. im stumped, and hoping its nothing serious.
