Man that really sucks. I hope your insurance doesn't drop you. have you invested in an alarm or anything like that?

I'm so sorry about your car. That really looks bad, I hate to deal with all those wires. Please invest in a loud, abnoxious alrm. The good thing is that you still have your car. Did you have a kill switch or something ? Does it look like they just wanted to take what was inside or any signs of them wanting to take the whole car ? Be careful, they might be back if this happened at your residence or at work. Good luck and let us know the outcome.

I'm sorry about your car, that really sucks. Where exactly do you live that this keeps happening to you. I would be fed up with something like that happening to me once that I would probably go overboard with anti theft devices.

well i did...

kill switch, alarm, steadfast collar..

nothing else really protects the inside parts..

the alarm was loud and obnoxious just not hidden well enough.

they better not come back.. if they do i'll be waiting..

Sorry to hear this. You have had some bad luck as far as this stuff goes, but at least the car's still around.

Dang, I don't know how you deal with it. I can't imagine how I'd feel after all the stuff that keep happening to ya.

Sorry Nick

Hey sorry to hear about your ride Nick. By the looks of things, u were dealing with semi semi- professionals (yeah right). Looks like they were gonna seal it, but ran into way too many obsticles with the steadfest collar and everything. But it looks like they hacked at the essentials. Does the car still run or anything? Did you manage to take anything of value? Like your stereo?

I'm guessing that the wide white plug under the column was where your alarm was located. Am I right?? Way too easy to find. It kind of looks like someone knew your car, or they were just lucky. They were also kind enough to unplug everything instead of tearing it out. Next time around, I would mount the alarm way up in the dash somewhere. Put a siren under the hood, in a hard to reach area, and one under the dash, or in the back seat area. Also, if you have an old unused alarm, stuff that under the dash, and make it look real. Then if they think they've found it, they will give up as soon as they pull it and the siren doesn't stop. Then buy a big F-in' gun and have it out with the MF-in' SOB.........Oops, sorry. It brought back memories of when someone tried to steal my car.
Like others have said. Major Bummer! But like I was, you were lucky they didn't get the whole thing.

Nothing that a pair of plyers and a blowtorch can't take care of should you come across the loosers that did this.

ya the alarm is hidden wayy better now.. i went up there and bitched out the guys who put it in.. told them they needed to hide it so one of them had a suggestion.. so its there now.

im going to home depot and sandwiching a piece of aluminum between the bolts that hold up the U that holds the steering column..

or something.. some plate that hides all the wiring or makes it atleast harder to get to..

HHhmmm

Hi,

Howzit going with the anti-theft crusade?

You said you beeotched out the people who put it in? How long after the stuff was installed was it broken into?

I'm kind of skeptical, I had a 1985 Supra that I loved, I had it painted and about 2 weeks later it was stolen, turns out the "impound" yard was a body shop next to the place where I had it painted.

I have always wanted to put a keypad code thing in where if the car was stolen and the right code was not put in it would explode (a-la Predator self destrcut device) about 5 mins after it was started, just don't forget the code
:D

That is the major problem with 99% of all alarm install shops.

Zip tie alarm brain to the steering column.

Theifs know this, general public knows this.

At one time I did side work doing alarm installs. My favorite place was under seats.

If your alarm is mounted under drivers side dash, it is almost worthless as it will only make noise for about 10 seconds.

Christ almighty Nick you have the worst luck of anyone I have ever known!!!!!!!
Geez.......I cant say that any one of my cars combined have been broken into more than your single car has!
Give me a shout if you want some ideas on that alarm.
Jeff
