Car won't idle after long storage. Using M.E. 16 POS.

The car has been in storage for a a year and now it won't idle (drops to 450) but drives fine otherwise. I put good gas in it and drove it around town for a while and it drives fine except it tries to die when idling even in neutral.

I am using a MaxEffort 16 pos and I have Direct Scan. I can't hear any obvious vacuum leaks and there is no stumbles when driving around town.

It's been a LOONG time and I forgot a lot about how to tune this thing with the ME and DS. What should I be looking for?

I thought I would look at the BLM's but DS says the update is turned off or something like that but they do read 128 and so does INT.

FYI: IAC reads 175.

Car ran great before storage.

Get your IAC's down around 15 hot park idle, which should give you 35ish hot in gear. It's been a bit since I sold my ME-R, but this should get it done for you. Keep idle TPS under .46 .You might also have a stuck/dirty IAC valve. If all else fails, contact Steve. HTH, Brian

Hi,
It sounds like your IAC has a bug up it's ass. Pull it out[1.25" wrench or socket]clean it up and go from there.I ran into this problem with my car last year,after a while in storage. The above cleaning did the trick. Good luck!
