Last night I was driving my car and all of a sudden the engine cut off. I pulled into a church parking lot and tried to start my car. It started right up, idled fine, but when I gave it just a very little bit of gas, the car cut off. I missed around with it for a while hopeing that I could figure it out. I ended up takeing the chip out and it ran fine in limp mode. I took it back to one of my friends house, got his laptop out and tried to see if there was anything wrong with my car using Direct Scan. I could not find anything that looked out of the ordinary. I tried putting my race chip in the car, but it did the same thing as the street chip. Any ideas on what it could be. Could it be the computer?

Thanks
Chris

Could very well be a fouled MAF sensor. They can wreak havoc when they go looney. Put your original chip back in and disconnect your MAF. Does the car run smoother?

I unpluged the MAF, and started my car and it ran a lot better, just a little rough. Then pluged it back in, and my car didn't run at all. Does this mean that it is my MAF sensor. If I need to replace it, should I get a stock replacement, or something better.

Thanks
Chris

Consider yourself lucky because there is a GP going right now on the LT1 Maf and translator. Dont pass this up!

Bob Bailey, he's on these boards. Just do a search to find him, or use google.com.
