Has anyone found or heard of a knock detector into the PL? Audible and visual?
 
I have been getting the last RED light on my caspers lately but nothing on the SM. I think it's false. I stayed in it just to see what it would do. It stayed full red for quite some time but nothing on the SM. I was spinning when this happened. If I roll into it... nothing.

There real sensative..

X2, I got tired of the thing going off. The SM showed nothing. Before my currecnt trans set-up I had a much harder 1-2 shift and that would set it off:confused: :eek: I think they were the thing to have before the SM was available. I removed mine and put a AFR gauge in place of it.
 
I dont have either anymore.The gauge is to hard to watch unless you have a very slow car(rather see where im going),and the alarm is always going off when its not needed or false.
 
I have mine hooked up to a liitle electric air horn that I bought at advanced auto for 40 bucks. Its loud as hell when it goes off and also for back up just incase the air horn fails if the radio is on it shuts of plus a gauge and light !!!!!!

YOu can set it on the PLC console but you have to have the PC running and monitoring.

No outputs on the powerlogger is the primary problem.
 
I have both visual and audible knock gages, I could do with out the visual gage, like others have mentioned to busy steering instead of looking at gages at WOT. Sure the audible knock gage has saved me from doing a few sets of head gaskets over the yrs.
One time the fuel pump was going south and another time, supply wire to the alky kit came out of the fuse box :eek: (at the track).

Here it is lighting up on locking the converter on a 125 mph car. I've had it since 2003 and it seems to let me know before the scanmaster goes off if the ECM starts pulling timing. I went 125 mph on 48# injectors and a single walbro 340 with race gas.
