CD Changer Compatability Kenwood/JVC

Don't know much about audio. I have a Kenwood CD player with a little harness out the back for a CD Changer to connect to. Does this have to connect to a Kenwood changer or can I run a JVC or Clarion to it without any problems?

Unfortunately if you are looking to use the CD controls on your head unit, you'll have to go with a Kenwood changer. You CAN use a FM modulated CD changer but those have to be controlled by the Umm controller ( duhh ) that comes with that type of unit.
