I Want to go to the track, and test a few chips, i have.

Can i make a pass, and then change the chip, and make another pass ? Or does the computer, need time to relearn, the new chip ??????????????

Good question - I don't think there's a 'learning period' involved with the ECM but I could be wrong. Just follow the typical procedure for the chip change (especially unplugging the orange wire in the engine compartment) and you should be good to go.

Actually the infamous "learning curve" of a chip has more to do with part throttle driving and idling than it does with WFOT operation as the latter is all Open Loop anyway. However, as a part of the Open Loop operation, the BLM for the upper-most cell is referenced and needs to be closer to its proper value than you will get from just throwing in the chip and going WOT...although the burnout process is a good thing for learning at WOT.

Unless you block the BL correction at WOT, the results will be slightly skewed.

Clearing the ecm right before the run will give you all the BL cells a 128. ie disconnecting the orange wire. I run a switch on the orange wire, for being able to clear the ecm, and it's also an Anti-theft devise.
