I believe I found the PCV valve and wondered if there was a trick to getting it out? I did not want to yank too hard.

The PCV is between #4 and #6 injectors on the base of the intake mainfold.

This is the hardest thing for on these cars. It is easy to get out, but I had all kinds of trouble get a new PCV installed.

I pushed the O into the intake once, but was able to get it out. The big thing is to use the correct GM PCV.

I bought a PCV from CarQUest. They tend to have decent part, much better than the PepBoys or Advanced Auto. It is their name on the box but not really sure who makes it.

It is a PITA to get out. I think fingers are the best bet. It works if you remove the hose from the hard vac line and yank on it with the PCV valve still attached. I find it is best to work it out from side to side. Or use some needle nose plyers and try to wiggle it out. Good luck. Use Delco -- an ugly green color.

get an AC delco pvc valve

Who sells AC delco PCV valves? Most local places that sell AC delco parts, have an off brand name for their PCV valves.

You want the Delco part. Off brand stuff has caused problems for our cars, like too much air bleed, messing up the IAC, or failing to check, causing the crankcase to be pressurized, and blowing out the rear main seal.

Get it from you GM dealer or AC-Delco parts house.

Pete Tomka sells a modified delco unit that works to keep the crank case from being pressurized. He's a good guy and you might check it out.
