went out on a date last night so i took out the GN for a spin with a brazilian chick, pretty hot lady 24 yrs young about 5 6' 130 black hair blue eyes, anyway she liked the GN and was impressed when i did a 4 PSI launch and it pinned her to the seat for about 2 block with the sticky tires spinning all the way, when i went to go drop off my car at my buddies place his roomate owns a 2004 350Z, and i had to move it out of the way to park my GN inside the garage, so i took the cover off and my date's chin almost drop to the floor, and started making comment like OMG  i kill for this car and OMG this car is so awesome, so i told her to move the car out of the drive way to get my car in, she got in the car and was so nervous that she could not put it in reverse or 1st gear and kept stalling the damn thing, if she only knew that the 350Z is a 15 second 1/4 mile sleed i dont think she would not have minded at all she had a grin on her face from hear to hear getting in the car and just moving it out the way, what pissed me off is that she started asking questions about the 350Z owners to which i replied that i be happy to give her his number if she wanted to go out with him, i tell you man, chicks this days don't appreciate great american cars.

She wouldn't have cared. With chicks it's all about the eye candy. The 350Zs have the bling bling. Doesn't matter that you'd obliterate one from a stoplight - that's something guys care about.

I got 2 compliments from random females today, though. Once said it was the nicest Monte Carlo she had ever seen. I let it go because she was fat, tatoo'd in all the wrong fat places and doing community service at the local recycling place. I figured she had bigger problems than not knowing the difference between a GN and a Monte. I just politely thanked her for the compliment.

The other is the chick that pumps my 100 octane at the local Sunoco. She's super nice and I always think to myself "what's a nice girl like you doing in a place like this". It's not too often you see women pumping gas unless they're the type where you can't tell if they're actually women.

Anyhow, don't let it bug you. You may actually find a girl that has an appreciation for American classics but don't hold your breath. My wife can take 'em or leave 'em. Still complains about my having sold my GTO every time I bring up how much I like the GN.

I wouldn't wig out too much. She was digging your car. That always counts for something. There are girls that wouldn't be caught dead in such a 'granny car'. Suck it up. She likes cars, that can't be too bad.

Trust me, one of my ex g/fs used to be all sorts of crazy about Mustangs. Didn't care for the GN that much. Until she got to know the car a little better. Never heard her say the "M" word for the whole time we were together.

Is she hot? Date her. Either that or put 22" chrome rims on your car!

Women are the worst barometer for choosing a car.

If we chose a car based on a woman's taste, we'd all be driving Bug convertibles and Pontiac Sunfires.

Secondly, buying a car to impress women is a desperate measure.

Guys like this are not "car" guys like us. These are the guys that go buy a brand new 'Vette convertible with an automatic and show up at the local cruises.

Personally, that's why I sold my Camaro and my Chevelle - because that's what everyone else has. Whichever way the pack goes - I like to go a different direction.

By the way - I drive a Caravan because my wife won't. There's a real man for you. ;)

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Oh lord, that was funny.

My friends and I have this thing. Whenever one of us says something funny, we give him a dollar. What's your Paypal, man? I owe you a dollar! :D :D

I have yet to meet a woman, (my wife included) that went crazy over my GN. To most women our cars are just a relic from a bygone era and they don't care how quick it will cover a quarter mile. ;)

:D When I met my wife, I started going out with her because she knows what GNs are and likes them. Now she even has one of her own. Finding a woman that knows what Gns are, let alone liking them is very, very hard.

Brian

Brian say hi to your lady, i met her here in LA at a carshow at Ruby's in hermosa beach, i was pretty surprised to find a lady that new about GN's and a looker too, nice wife.. :)

I hate to be the one to say this but the GN is a dude magnet. I have only had 2 women complement me on my car. The first said OOHHHH thats a nice monti carlo. she felt dumb when i told her it was a buick. The other girl was standing next to three GN's when she looked at my car and said nice GN. I would have asked her to marry me if I wasnt already marryed. (SHHH dont tell anyone.)The car dose get alot of respect with people who do know what one is. I drive and own one cause it feels so dam good to drive it.

I agree...GNs for the most part are dude magents...but there is a reason for that...guys know their cars alot more than girls do and 9 times out of 10 a guy will notice the GN first...girls like my car because it's decked out with GNX wheels and black tinted windows and such...but if it was bone stock looking, a girl wouldn't know the difference of that and a monte...girls know what camaros and trans ams and mustangs are because they are so COMMON and girls drive them! you don't see many girls driving a Buick...so sad:D

Get this man a prize, he's our winner for today. You hit the nail right on the head there.

One of my exes was a car freak...she always made fun of my grampa car, but sure liked to be slammed back in the seat. She liked when I accelerated quickly too. ;)

My fiance was REALLY quiet when I went to sell my Camaro SS. She doesnt know how to drive to a manual but wanted to learn and buy my SS and sell her RS. When I told her I was going to get a GN and started asking her what she thought of the random GN's I was bringing up on Autotrader she would just nod and walk away.

Well yesterday I pull up in my new GN and she said it looked like a drug dealer car. I took her for a spin in it and I didnt even have to ask for the garage, she just gave it to me. She is now wanting to drive it and is more worried than I am about it being stolen.

Love my wife to be. :D

:D

Quite hilarious:D :D :D :D :D

My new daily driver is an SSEi. Not as fast as my GTP was, but not bad, and a very comfortable luxurious car that handles great. My girlfriend is always taking shots at it, calling it a grandpa car. I have to work really hard to restrain myself from pointing out that there are names for her Suzuki Aerio which are also....ahem.....less than flattering. It may be small and zippy, but at only a year old, it's starting to make funny drivetrain and suspension noises she's already complaining about. I continue to refrain from letting her know that there's plenty more where that came from.....and it'll be on the plate soon. I'll leave it to her to make the connection that at 2 years, she'll likely be having more trouble with it and more noises and wear than my 7 year old, 170,000 km Pontiac.
