The part to fix my lazy 1-2 shift arrived today just as Chris said it would.I got it installed and did not think I could drive my car until tomorrow because it was raining. The rain quit and thre road dried up so I went for a ride.My 1-2 shift is now as fast as I can ever rember it to be and it is again chirping the tires on the shift. It did what Chris said it would.Bruce

I also received one of his shift improver kits awhile back and I haven't had a chance to install it yet, I just got my car back from the upholstry shop last week and will be trying to arrange to install it very shortly. Bose, any tips installing it that I should be aware of?

Thanks
Kevin

install

It was pretty easy.He also gave good diagrams and instructions.Bruce

Just out of curiousity, you mentioned that your tranny had a "lazy" 1-2 shift prior to the shift kit install....I always thought it was not a good idea to install a shift kit into a tranny that wasn't operating properly to begin with.

i would have to say discretion is the better part of valor ,whatever that means lol. i think bruces car had only 50 k and was serviced regularly making it less of a crap shoot .

Hey chris how about a input drum free for the testing?
I promise to launch it at 20#s of boost with my 72BB turbo:D

Still have any shift kits for testing? If so let me know.

Also id like to purchase a shift kit for a standard 200 R4 without the GN valvebody, do you sell them? If not, what can i do to firm up the shifts on it. its going in my 70 GS and i want the shifts a fair amount firmer.

Thanks

Hey Chris,
I got the convertor yesterday. Now how about one of them test kits? I am getting the tranny rebuilt next week. I will post for the convertor and kit.
Thanks
Tim

Chris, tried calling both today(friday), and yesterday(thursday) in the late afternoon around 4-5, every time i got a busy signal, and at 6, it went through but didnt get an answer. Guess you close around 5? Is there some time i can call you on saturday that you will be available? I get off work sat. at 2. If youd like ill email you the credit card information and such for the list of parts you recommend i buy to get the non GN 200R4 tranny shifting quicker. Im guessing that will be a servo, and maybe the pump boost valves or a valve body seperator plate? let me know

Thanks
