well needless to say i still have stock valve covers and they look like ass. what is the best way to clean these things?

yep

i would but my mom broke my camera when i let her take it to africa. i think im just going to clean them and paint then black then sand down the groves and i think it will look good.

That could look real nice.
 
You can always take them to a shop and have them polished.

I didnt have them chromed bc the guy told me that they would eventually turn blue bc of the heat.

they look pretty good polished.

I pulled mine off this past spring. Soaked them down with gasket remover spray to take off the paint, then wheeled them out with aluminum polish. They look much better.
 
use coca-cola it works the best if their not in bad shape. or just sand blast them.
