Is there a bulb bright enough to for the front bumper light to act as a decent DRL or fog light using a clear lens? Has anyone done it?

Your piece looks great. I was hoping for something a little more simple like an LED bulb that would work.

The part of the lens I used (near center of car) uses a 194 bulb and socket. I suppose you could modify the socket hole to fit a 9006/ 9005 or better yet use an H4 for low and high beam.
You would need to use the bulb type with the copper braid heat conductor as one with a cooling fan won't fit.
The bulb socket on the inner part is centered in the bumper shock mount.
Maybe a brighter LED bulb could be modified to fit the 194 socket and wired to an ignition on source.

Oh god no. You'd melt the entire assembly long before it even got very bright.
