I had a Red Armstrong 92 chip in and changed it out for the Pit Bull chip that came with the car when I bought it. Since I changed it this morning, I have gotten 2 MIL's. I cleared it and it came back, only at idle in gear at a light, it went away both times as soon as I accelerated. Both were Code 13. I did a search and in one of the posts it mentioned that the Pit Bull chip may cause this (Code 13) but there was no explanation as to why. I had a Tech II hooked up lat week and it showed no signal from the o2, brand new. Unplugged the o2 and checked it, it was working fine. Today I ran a continuity check on the harness, D6 and D7, signal and ground circuit for the o2. Checked out fine. I must have a bad wire to the ALDL I am thinking now. Had quite a bit of corrosion on the connections at the PCM too, the harness side and the computer itself. I am going to get some electronics cleaner tomorrow and clean both sides up. Would putting dielectric grease there hurt anything? ANything good I can put to stop that from happening again? This chip was in the car when I bought it, Pit Bull, and I didnt have codes with it then but I was wondering if anyone had heard about the chip causing a 13 before.
